Before the advent of the Internet, a short wave radio is needed to be able to receive long distance broadcast from other countries. With Internet radio (aka web radio, net radio, online radio), you could access another country’s broadcast stations as if you were there. However it is not limited to the conventional broadcast stations which have added Internet broadcasting. There are thousands of pure Internet broadcast stations covering different genres – K pop, classical music, rock, blues, jazz, news, electronica, hip hop, and so on.
Base-NC sells dedicated Internet radio from Ocean Digital that resemble traditional radios. Considering the thousands of available Internet radio stations, the physical radio device allows for navigation via search by location or search via genre. Stations can, also, be saved as pre-set.
Four models are available - WR-800F, WR-336F, WR-233, and WR-01C.
